Nasdaq Dubai, the region's international financial exchange, announces the listing of two issuances by the Government of the Emirate of Sharjah.
The first issuance is a five-year AED 1 billion Sukuk, through the Sharjah Finance Department under the Sharjah Sukuk Programme Limited. With this issuance, the total listings under the Sharjah Sukuk Programme Limited add up to USD 7 billion through nine listings.
The second issuance is a EUR 500 million Sustainability Bond, maturing in 2031, issued under the Global Medium Term Note Programme. This brings the total value of issuances by the Government of the Emirate of Sharjah on Nasdaq Dubai to USD 4.8 billion.
With these new listings, the total value of all issuances by the Government of Sharjah on Nasdaq Dubai now stands at USD 12.6 billion. In the first half of 2024, Nasdaq Dubai has hosted 28 issuances adding up to USD 13.94 billion. These listings bolster Nasdaq Dubai's standing as a premier platform for debt instruments, offering issuers unparalleled access to regional and international investors.
Overall, Nasdaq Dubai boasts of USD 135 billion in listed bonds and Sukuk through 156 listings, reaffirming its position as a leading global market for fixed income securities.
