Total value of the Federal Government’s dollar-denominated bonds listed on Nasdaq Dubai increases to US$ 7 billion
Nasdaq Dubai today welcomed the listing of US$ 3 billion U.S. dollar-denominated dual-tranche sovereign bonds issued by the UAE Federal Government acting through the Ministry of Finance.
The two bond issuances included a US$ 1.75 billion 10-year tranche with a coupon of 4.050% and a US$ 1.25 billion 30-year Formosa tranche with a coupon of 4.951%. The issuances attracted strong investor demand as the total value of the orders reached US$ 15 billion (10 times of the initial benchmark target of US$ 1.5 billion), allowing the Ministry to double the size of the issuances to US$ 3 billion.
The new listings raised the total value of the UAE Federal Government dollar-denominated bonds listed on Nasdaq Dubai to US$ 7 billion; the UAE MoF listed US$ 4 billion bonds on the exchange in October 2021.
