Hichens, Harrison & Co plc, the oldest stockbroker in the City of London, has become a Member of the Dubai International Financial Exchange (DIFX), the world's newest international stock market.
Hichens, Harrison, founded in 1803, is the 17th firm to become a DIFX Member and joins a range of leading international and regional brokers that are able to buy and sell securities on the exchange.
Adam Wilson, Chief Executive of Hichens, Harrison, said: "Since the DIFX opened in September 2005 it has become established as the international exchange serving its region. We will be able to offer our international and regional clients access to an exciting and growing range of securities from companies active in the Middle East and beyond."
As well as trading services, the firm provides a range of investment solutions to clients including advisory portfolio management, research and corporate broking.
